    An actual ‘Zelig’

    As a pilot, he knew Jackie Cochran, Jimmy Doolittle, Claire Chennault, Dwight Eisenhower, Chinese warlord Young Marshall, Nationalist dictator Chiang Kai-shek; was fired from three major airlines for whistleblowing; survived flying the Hump (Himalaya) for China National Aviation Corporation and introduced celestial navigation. But, today, few people know about him.

    In this week’s podcast, I talk with author Barry S. Martin about his biography, “Forgotten Aviator; The Adventures of Royal Leonard,” which took 20 years to put together.
