‘Cats, Dogs, and Other Things That Poop in the Yard’ reading, signing Feb. 3

All are invited to the Avid Reader on Friday, Feb. 3, 7:30-8:30 p.m., to hear excerpts from iPinion Syndicate’s second anthology, “Cats, Dogs, and Other Things That Poop in the Yard.” The book, which was edited by Debra DeAngelo and David Lacy, features the work of iPinion Syndicate contributors, and their thoughts, feelings and experiences on the rainbow of emotions that go along with having pets, from bringing home our “fur babies” to the day we must let them go forever.

These stories are heartfelt, heartwarming and heartbreaking too, with plenty of humor sprinkled throughout.

On Feb. 3, meet Winters writers Debra DeAngelo, Georgeanne Brennan and Kate Laddish, Davis writers Kathy Keatley Garvey, David Weinshilboum and Cathy Speck, as well as Sacramento area writers David Lacy, Kelvin Wade and Carolyn Wyler, and hear selections from their stories in the writers’ own voices. Those who don’t already have a copy of the book for signing can purchase them right there at the Avid Reader. The book is also available on Amazon.com.

In addition to the writers coming to the Friday reading, the book contains stories by other writers from across the country, as well as Winters writers Crystal Apilado Cooper and Tom McMasters-Stone.

The Avid Reader is located at 617 2nd Street in Davis. For more information about the Feb. 3 event, call the store, 530-758-4040.
