Miss Delta
“I’m a kaleidoscope,” declared Miss Delta. Yes, indeed. In this week’s podcast, I talked with Miss Delta about her multi-spectrum life thus far.
Growing up in the Bay Area in the 1960s, she witnessed the black, women’s and Chicano movements. She knew Angela Davis, Cesar Chavez and Willie Brown. With her personal diverse background (including Native American and Jewish cultures), she was tuned in to the intentions of those groundbreaking efforts.
After divorcing and raising a daughter, she returned to her original love of music and entertainment at 50+ years of age, opening for two musical icons.
Now age 65, she ain’t done yet.
