Lacy selected as Writing Specialist at UC Irvine

iPinion co-founder David Lacy was selected out of approximately 80 applicants for a full-time position as a Writing Specialist at the UC Irvine Center for Excellence in Writing and Communication. Lacy will consult with students in person and online and get to work alongside skilled staff in representing the Office of the Campus Writing Coordinator.

Lacy had previously taught Composition at UC Irvine. He also taught writing in the criminal justice department at CSU Long Beach for five years. At Long Beach he worked with one other writing instructor, Vanessa Burrows, to pilot a course introducing students to the conventions, formats, and genres of their major.

Lacy will continue to adjunct lecture at Irvine Valley College, where he was named Part Time professor of the Year in 2012.

    • Great news David.
