Subarus are fueled on love, and so are their salespeople

I have always feared the typical salesperson.  I cringed at the thought of pushy people telling me what I need and want.  Yes, I’ll mention the worst: the car salesman. ( Insert eye-bulging, dramatic pause.)

I myself was petrified of being devoured by the all-knowing, pushy car salesman.  It’s true. I said it. I would rather have my molars pulled out without Novocaine.  Until the day I boldly went where I never went before. No, not to the moon. I became a consultant for Balise Subaru.  Crazy, right?  Well, if you fear it, go embrace it!

First person I met was the general manager, Vito. His calm friendly disposition tranquilized my nerves.  I could compare the feeling to the relief of morphine when I had a spastic gallbladder attack. He made me feel instantly at ease.  Really, at that point, I was clueless to why I was even hired for the job. I thought maybe I had put on a convincing charade. Ha! I made ’em all think I was a crazy salesperson ready to eat or be eaten.

I just kept putting one foot in front of the other and climbed into unknown territory.  My eyes opened as I discovered “What makes a Subaru, well, a Subaru!”

Subarus are built from the ground up. Everything they stand for is lovingly crafted into a perfectly symmetrical design. Pure love goes into the intricate well thought out design of their passive and active safety features.  They are proudly the only dealership that offers all-wheel drive for all of their vehicles.  The obvious first thought is “How do we keep you and your family safe? If even after all of our preventative measures we cannot avoid collision, how do we avoid injury?” Trust me, Subaru has our back.

    Whoa, eco-friendly, too?

I was madly and insanely bitten by the love bug. I fell head over heels in love.  While building this safe haven on wheels, Subaru decided to make their vehicles to be 99 percent recyclable with extremely low emissions. I guess when I was thinking about how to save my beautiful planet, Subaru was too.  Were they reading my mind when they decided to build their vehicles?

Eureka! This is a vehicle that loves my family and  loves saving me money and loves the planet! I met my soulmate. It wasn’t a man, a friend, or even a faithful dog — it was a Subaru. The only question, which one?

Bam Baboom! It was then I understood why Vito decided to hired me. There are no salespeople at Balise Subaru! They seek out consultants who have a sincere, compassionate love for people.  Subaru has only you in mind!  The only qualifications are to be genuine and to care.

Vito, you rock! I’ve never met a more wonderful person in active role as general manager. I have the ultimate respect for you. Truly, you are as reflective as you are kind.  Randy, you are by far a man of great wisdom, defined by a heart of solid pure gold.  Every morning, your beautiful twinkly eyes set off a dynamic, optimistic “Good morning!” What a soul treat to be greeted with such wonderful positivity!

To be fair, there really aren’t enough words to do either manager justice! Utilizing a touch of humor mixed with a metaphorical story, they created an environment conducive to learning, teaching and growing.  Most of all, an environment, filled with compassionate love.  Much like the way a loving father cares for his children.  It was great being one of your kids! (Insert happy face!)

Personal affairs have taken me away from my incredible experience with Balise Subaru.  I just want all of the wonderful consultants and dynamic managers to know that you really impressed me.  You stand apart. You work so hard and exude a positive, caring environment.  It was beyond my pleasure to have met each and every one of you.  Thank you for showing me the meaning of “Subaru Love.”

A Subaru is not just any typical vehicle; it is built from the ground up with Love. A Subaru consultant is not a typical salesperson; without a  doubt, they too are built with Love.

P.S. Make sure you say “Hi” to Vito!

    • Dang! I’m convinced! Next time I am shopping for a car, I will check out Subarus! Maybe by then, they’ll be a little sexier! That was what always turned me off – they are about as sexy as sensible walking shoes with velcro ties. Work on that, Subaru!

I recommend the outback with eyesight for you Ms. Maya. It has a low center gravity engine, making it more fuel efficient and provides better traction. With the AWD there is no terrain undefeatable. Which is good for you in the winter months. The wishbone struts get rid of the usual hump you have taking up trunk space. Not too mention, the seats easily fold completely flat! You could fit all your pups in their comfortably! The basic structure withstands side impact, so you know even if someone hit your car, your granddaughter is safe! The new design is very attractive and the features are too numerable to count! A Subaru is a future must have on my list. I have never wanted to own a vehicle so much!
