    To my favorite mistake

A special thank you to those I really love. You’re a collection of people who know me and love me anyways. I consider you all family. My blood family, my friend family, my work family and my writing family. Without you, my life would be boring and void of all shenanigans. Here’s where I got the idea for what I wrote. Enjoy!

    My heart aches for you

If the universe ever gives me the chance to see you again

I swear I will do it right this time

I don’t think I would be able to control myself

My arms would fly out from me as if acting on their own

Up toward you, resting on your shoulders

Then as if possessed by my heartache

I would wrap my hands around your neck

    Squeezing tighter and tighter

Your eyes would begin to look like mine

    Sad and confused

For every time you brushed me aside or used me

For all the times you lied and chose someone over me

My grip will only grow tighter

I can feel your veins pulsing

    I release my grip

I am now on my tiptoes

    I move in closer

My lips almost touching your ear

    I begin to whisper

    I am over you.
